Mr. Clooney Goes to Washington

September 14th, 2006 // 1 Comment

Look for George Clooney to step up his campaign for peace in Sudan by addressing the United Nations about the ongoing genocide in the African nation.

The Oscar-winner embarked on his crusade earlier this year when he joined his father, former newsman Nick Clooney, on a trip to Africa, where they filmed interviews with terrified refugees.

Upon his return to America, the actor addressed top politicians in Washington, D.C., and now he’s planning to speak to the United Nations Security Council tomorrow along with Nobel Peace Prize winner Elie Wiesel. The briefing is being organized by The Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity.

The question is, will anyone listen to what he has to say?
