MTV’s TRL Is Retiring Itself

September 15th, 2008 // 1 Comment

MTV’s Total Request Live is “taking a break.” The once popular show will be going off the air in November with a two-hour Saturday afternoon special according to executive producer Dave Sirulnick.

How sad! I remember the original days of TRL. Everyday after school my best friend and I would come home to drool over a bleach-jeaned Justin Timberlake and a closeted Lance Bass while Carson Daly (with black nail polish on just one of his fingers) counted down the top ten videos voted on by the other thousands of junior high kids with nothing better to do.

Dave was quick to reassure that this isn’t a forever goodbye, but that it is just a good time for the program to take some time off after a solid 10-year run. Seems that the show will be making a return in the future — probably after Chris Brown realizes his fashion choices were wack and one of the Jonas Brothers comes out of the closet on the cover of People.

Offspring stole chorus and theme to “lies” song.

Probably through KCRW where it was sent. Jews are thieves.

Greater (aka Ersatz) Israel is dead (as Olmert has said) because Jews have big mouths and stole to much from Americans. There will be hell to pay.
