Christina Hendricks thinks it’s actually red heads who have more fun! The natural blonde has been dying her hair flaming red ever since reading Anne of Green Gables as a little girl. The actress became fixed on becoming a red head from the age of 10.
“So my mother said, ‘Let’s just go to the drugstore and get one of those cover-the-grey rinses!’” Christina recalled. “My hair was very blonde at the time but it went carrot red. I was over the moon – and I went back to that colour again and again.”
The Mad Men siren, pictured leaving a Halloween lunch with her parents, is now famous for her distinct hair color, as well as her major curves.
“I’ve always attracted attention for the way I look and that’s not a bad thing if you’re trying to make your mark in the business. But after a while you just want people to notice you for your work!” she said. Agreed, let’s all get over her winning the genetic lottery already…though it may be difficult!
