The Jackson family was unable to obtain the clearance for holding a funeral service for Michael Jackson on his Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara. Unable to file for a residential exemption required for a burial on private property, the famous clan will have to bury the famous pop star elsewhere.
According to a statement released by the Jackson family, “Contrary to previous news reports, the Jackson family is officially stating that there will be no public or private viewing at Neverland.” They continue by saying that they are still planning for a public service of some kind and “will announce those plans shortly.”
Possible plans for a burial at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills have neither been confirmed or denied at this point. However, it sounds as if the family working overtime to make sure Michael’s fans have a chance to formally say goodbye.

Oh for god’s sake, just bury the man already. It’s been 7 days since his death. Even Farrah Fawcett who died on the same day is already in her final resting place.
It isn’t rocket science. Find a cemetary, buy a plot, purchase a casket, arrange the private funeral, and plunk his ass down inthe earth.
A public memorial can be arranged at a later date.
Just do it, already and get it over with.
