-Jake Gyllenhaal celebrated his birthday (he turned 28 on Friday) with a romantic evening out with his best girl, Reese Witherspoon at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica. On the menu for the evening was conversation, wine, champagne and a special birthday dessert. Maybe for a birthday present, she’ll finally oblige him with a yes.

-Jessica Alba and Cash Warren celebrated their quickie nuptials from this past summer. On Friday, the couple threw a bash which included a mariachi band and mother and daughter Honor Warren were dressed in matching grey dresses. A guest told Us Weekly, “This is such a happy time in their lives.”

-Michael Jackson is reportedly gravely ill, requiring a lung transplant, according to the New York Daily News. Biographer Ian Halperin claims the King of Pop is suffering from a genetic condition of an Alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency. Halperin says, “He needs a lung transplant but may be too weak to go through with it.”
