-With just-turned-50 Madonna kicking off her Sticky & Sweet concert tour for her Hard Candy album, fans got to see what the Britney Spears collaboration was all about. A fan captured the video of a ninja-like Britney dressed in black pants, sunglasses and a black hoodie sweatshirt trapped in an elevator. To the strains of Madonna’s “Express Yourself,” Britney whispers “Express yourself, don’t repress yourself” to the audience. Hmm, maybe a little repression isn’t so bad, Britney.

-Frontman for Canadian band Barenaked Ladies Ed Robertson survived a plane crash in Ontario Sunday afternoon. Also on board the plane were the singer’s wife, Natalie and a friend of the couple. According to the band manager, the passenger’s are all “fine.”

-Paula Abdul has undergone neck surgery in an effort to remedy a nagging injury that has plagued the American Idol judge since she was a teenager.
