- This is one couple of carolers I wouldn’t throw a bucket of hot water on if they came to my door. Ellen DeGeneres and a game Britney Spears taped a segment for Ellen’s show to air on Dec. 16 that had them dressed up like old-timey Victorian Christmas carolers and going around spreading Christmas cheer. Even the picture is funny! Britney is all about Christmas lately!

- Do any of our readers in the state of New York think they can stomach a senator whose voice makes men’s testicles crawl back into their stomach cavity? Young guy sampler Fran Drescher does. The former star of The Nanny says that she’s thinking of entering into the race to replace Hilary Clinton as New York State Senator. God help you people.

- Coldplay are defending themselves accusations that they ripped off legendary guitarist Joe Satriani‘s 2004 song “If I Could Fly” for their monster, Grammy-nominated hit “Viva La Vida.” Weren’t they already accused of this once? Satriani has filed a copywright infringement lawsuit. “With the greatest possible respect to Joe Satriani, we have now
unfortunately found it necessary to respond publicly to his
allegations,” read the statement. “If there are any similarities
between our two pieces of music, they are entirely coincidental, and
just as surprising to us as to him. Joe Satriani is a great musician,
but he did not write the song ‘Viva La Vida.’ We respectfully ask him
to accept our assurances of this and wish him well with all
future endeavours,” the band said in a statement.
