2011 is definitely the year of Adele! The British songbird, who has more or less ruled the musical roost in 2011, picked up four nominations, for Favorite Female Pop/Rock Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Album (for 21), Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist, and Artist of the Year.

The nominations come not long after she won three Video Music Awards for “Rolling in the Deep”, 21′s gargantuan first single.

Following Adele is a cluster of artists with three nominations each, including Rihanna, Lil Wayne, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, and The Band Perry.
