Good Lord. Remember when Nicolas Cage had the semblance of a career? Yes, me too, but very vaguely. These days, when he’s not constantly being harassed by dollar bills in his wallet trying to “tell him something,” like “we weren’t worth you selling your soul,” he’s dressing up in costumes like this to pay the bills.

The movie star who seems to have carved out a niche for himself in the action-movie-world-is-ending-and-he-has-to-save-it-via-implausible-means genre is filming a live action version of the Disney classic The Sorcerer’s Apprentice in New York City.

I’m going to guess that during casting, it came down to him and Brendan Fraser.
