Doing her part to support her fellow countrymen, Nicole Kidman surprised the Australian men’s 470 sailing team with an encouraging phone call. Not to say that it was all due to her efforts, but the Aussies did manage to snag the gold medal in Quindago.

Kidman was unaware, until she chatted with the athletes that they had a long-standing tradition of honoring her. Aussie sailing team member Malcolm Page said, “She was very surprised that we do have a tradition of naming our boats after her movies and she’s just really stoked to be part of a team.”

And Nicole couldn’t look happier with the result as she stepped out for dinner with her husband Keith Urban at the Busshari Japanese restaurant in Sydney. Yes, she eats sometimes.
