It wasn’t long ago that TMZ released the news that Nicollette Sheridan had plans to sue ABC for over 20 million in a claim that Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry hit her upon her termination from the show. Now new claims are surfacing from TMZ that Sheridan is expecting a smear campaign that will make her look like “a difficult diva who is making up claims she was physically abused by Cherry.”

A while both sides plan to bring their A-game to court, it appears that Eonline found a source that claims that Cherry “has a crazy temper and is often not logical.” While Sheridan hasn’t made an appearance on the show since February 2009, her rep claims that Sheridan requested that ABC provide her with “help and protection,” and when she felt that her requests were not being met, she ultimately decided to file her wrongful termination suit.

As for Cherry, EOnline states that he has not commented on the matter, only referring to ABC’s comments, “While we have yet to see the actual complaint, we investigated similar claims made by Ms. Sheridan last year and found them to be without merit.”
