Snorah Jones is back on the scene. And because she has a new album to hawk, she needs to do the things that singers gotta do to hook people into buying their album – confessional interviews. Seeing as Snorah is about as exciting as my toenail, she doesn’t have much dirt to let us in on. She was asked to lose weight for a movie role. Oh. Ok. Interesting.
Norah Jones didn’t think she needed to lose weight – until she was “asked to lose a few pounds” for a movie role, the singer says in a new interview.
“I probably shouldn’t say this,” Jones tells the March British edition of Glamour. “But I was asked to lose a few pounds. First I got really mad, then I got nervous, thinking, ‘Oh no! I’m fat!”
The 27-year-old singer, whose film My Blueberry Nights costars Jude Law and Natalie Portman, says: “It was a horrible thing to hear but I understand the game. I was just amazed that it really was an issue, and it made me have a lot more sympathy for really skinny actresses.”
You’re not fat, Norah. Hollywood just needs bone thin bitches to keep everyone invested in unattainable standards of beauty to sell products. It’s ok. What’s not ok is that you don’t have any sympathy for ME when I walk into a Starbucks and hear your funeral dirges playing and feel like I just swallowed a bottle of Klonopin. GET SOME PERCUSSION!

What has Nora ever done to you??? She is an extremely talented singer and musician. I love her style and her voice. I also love Led Zeppelin. Depends on my mood, you know. Her music is perfect for some situations and not for others. That’s what makes the world go round.
Just had to throw in a good word for her.
OMG “Snorah Jones”!! I’m going to use that! Yeah, she has a nice voice but all her songs kinda sound the same and they put me in a coma.
“What’s not ok is that you don’t have any sympathy for ME when I walk into a Starbucks and hear your funeral dirges playing and feel like I just swallowed a bottle of Klonopin. GET SOME PERCUSSION!”
HILARIOUS!!!
wow, i think reading that entire headline put me to sleep….
Wow, I always thought I was alone in my loathing for her! I’m glad there are others out there. “Snorah Jones” is a good one.
A couple of years ago, one of the contributing factors to me dumping my boyfriend was that he loved Norah Jones music. Seriously.
And who are you? Ella Fitzgerald? You seem to really KNOW music-how it should be and stuff! Why don’t you come up with something dear?
Is all you get to do is write stupid write ups like these? Get a life! Seriously!
Norah Jones is a far better performer than you are a writer. I would never waste my time reading another thing you write. You act like a five year old with childish name calling and insults. It is ok to have a different opinion than others, but, try to be an adult about expressing your opinion. You must be a very sad person if this is your true personality. I feel sorry for you and anyone around you.
