I’m not surprised that Oliver Stone was happy that his costars in Wall Street 2 were hooking up. This is the same guy that would taunt Shia LaBeouf with his personal life on set and tell him to go to a bar before doing a scene. So of course he was excited by the fact that Shia and Carey Mulligan wanted to bone each other on set.
“I was thrilled when I realized they were going to be an item,” he told People. “It just made their scenes together all the better – especially the love scenes. Let’s just say it was no stretch for them.”
The couple, who enjoyed some flirting during a photocall at Cannes on Friday (May 14) haven’t talked much about their relationship. Discussing it is no problem for Stone. “You could see their chemistry right away, and it was pretty powerful,” the director said. “They were completely professional on the set, but there was no mistaking what was happening.”
