Remember when the boys of One Direction were just the sweet kids who were on The X Factor? Well now they’re meeting queens!
Specifically, their queen, Queen Elizabeth II. The One Direction boys Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson were on their best behavior last night at the 2012 Royal Variety Performance at Royal Albert Hall. I think they should pretend they’re meeting the queen all the time just so they can wear those tuxedos.
The boys took the stage to give us a live rendition of “Little Things.” I’m sure the Queen and Prince Philip thought it was just adorable since they were preparing for their 65th wedding anniversary. Can you imagine? 65 years. Those One Direction boys are babies compared to their marriage. Guess which other stars showed up for the occasion!
Because you know it wasn’t just One Direction–although I don’t think anyone would have cared if it was. Among the many stars present were Alicia Keys, Neil Diamond and Kylie Minogue. That must have been one seriously entertaining concert. Also, I’m sort of obsessed with Neil Diamond and that photo of him shaking hands with the Queen totally made my week.
Well congrats boys of One Direction! Now that you’ve met the Queen it means you’ve officially made it. Well, I’m sure your millions of record sales were a good indicator too, but now you’re just so posh!
