Don’t be fooled by all his baggage (ha ha,) Orlando Bloom‘s desire to do some good in the world has landed him the role of goodwill ambassador for the United Nations organization, UNICEF.

The 32-year-old British actor has been working with childrens organization since 2007, making trips to Sarajevo, Nepal and Russia in order to raise awareness about the plight of children in those areas.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star said in a statement, “I look forward to working with UNICEF as they continue to make the world a better place for children.”
