Because I have much love for the Outkast boys (hootie-hoo, y’all), I’m definitely disappointed to hear that they turned down an offer to appear on the Oprah show. Even more perplexing, it seems that this is not in collaboration with the general hip hop boycott, but that it’s Andre 3000 who decided against appearing on the daytime diva’s talk show to promote the release of Outkast’s upcoming album.

It seems Andre prefers to think of himself as an actor, and would prefer to promote his thespian endeavors, rather than focusing on his music, much to the consternation of long-time collaborator, Antwan ‘Big Boi’ Patton.

Here’s the thing, Dre. Anybody can act, really, but you guys are Outkast. Come on. Work it out.
