Who is Pamela Anderson battling this time for PETA? The Finish Fur Farmers. Anderson told Finnish President Tarja Halonen in a letter that her nation should emulate other countries that have banned fur farms.
“It’s time for Finland to move into the 21st century and follow suit,” said Anderson, whose great-grandfather was Finnish. The letter was distributed to the media by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
Finland’s fur auctioneers said the appeal was unrealistic. “It’s not surprising coming from her, a known anti-fur campaigner,” said Paivi Mononen-Mikkila, a spokeswoman for the Finnish Fur Sales auction house. “It’s really not realistic as so many people earn their livelihood from the fur trade.”
Finland, one of Europe’s top fur producers, has 1,400 farms that produce about two million fox furs annually. The industry employs 10,000 people.
Wow. That seems like a lot of fur farmers for such a small country. But it is cold there, so it kind of makes sense.
(WENN)

It’s like a new contest to see who can find the first grammar or spelling error in Jessica’s posts… I win! “Finnish Fur Farmers” is I’m sure the correct spelling for an organization out of Finland that SUPPORTS fur farming. “Finish Fur Farmers” sounds like the name of the group that Pammy wants to start to get rid of all the farmers.
Your captiousness is exceeded only by your arrogance my aptly named friend.
Later,
Tom
P.S. Sorry if the previous comment caused you any distress at all Ms. Marx. Some people have no tact whatsoever.
I didn’t know we have that many fur producers… I just wanted to correct you a bit that Finland is NOT a cold country, it can be in the winter time but only in the northern parts.
tom, what the did you just say?
Tom, if you are so offended by my correction, make sure you don’t read the comments on any of Jessica’s other posts. I also think it’s kind of ironic for you to lash out at my snarkiness when you are on a gossip site that prides itself on snark.
Ha! I grammar bitch fight– my fav. This site does, however, make some grievous grammatical issues that lend to credibility and do completely change the context, and this “Finish” versus “Finnish” is a prime example. If speaking of another country’s attributes, it’s wise to get the spelling correct. That’s not snobbery, but common sense (most of the world thinks we’re spoiled imbeciles already, so why perpetuate the myth?). Besides the author(s) of this page are well aware of they’re “challenged” in the arena of proofreading, and appreciate the notes from readers.
Stupid broad, save the foxes.. kill the human fetus..
Is this post about spelling or people abusing animals?
If animals are abused in any way, the people abusing the animals should be called out. Boycotts are about the best way to do this.
On the other hand, people who farm with respect for land and animals should be praised and modeled.
Clementine – you bring up an interesting point for sure. People in this country definitely seem to have more respect for abused animals than they do unborn children.
i can’t beleive how noble pam is ,fighting to stop the pain and suffering of animals…i can’t beleive how humans can be so cruel all fur farms must end animals can feel just like in fur farms they r isolated ,feeling cold and pain then skinned alive …it’s not fair
