Ha! I don’t think anyone would accuse me of being a prude if they knew me. I am all for the appreciation of the human body. But there is absolutely nothing beautiful about surgically deformed breasts. As for your argument about topless sunbathing being the norm in Europe, Pam and her kids live in America, not St Tropez. My breasts are huge,um, pretty nice looking and 100% real but trust me, they can be quite appealing to the opposite sex but also a burden as it limits your wardrobe choices..and men lear at them constantly!! I love Reese, she is a class act actress and mother. Pam too, well, ok, not a class act, but she is often photographed with her children doing normal, mother /kid activities. I have seen tons of pics of her without makeup playing with her boys, taking them to the park, to school, etc. On that note, peace Lisa..I too agree to disagree!!

They are on a yacht off the South of France, where topless sunbathing is completely acceptable, yet some of you (Lisa) make it sound like they’re the most depraved of sex offenders. Sorry Lisa, but the only thing sick about it are the unfortunate breast implants.

Grace, no one said the “Europeans are so morally superior about nudity,” however, having been to Europe many times I can tell you that their attitude toward it is very different than ours. They don’t necessarily consider nudity to be “dirty.” Topless sunbathing is the norm, it is not considered sexy, daring or provocative, it’s just what some women do at the beach. It’s not a big deal. That being said…I think Pam Anderson knows her place on the celebrity food chain, doesn’t take herself very seriously, loves her kids, and I for one applaud her anti fur stance. However, those tits are horrific.

When I lived in Germany (I am from the U.S.), I was 8 years old and went to a lake to swim. Almost ALL the German women, and some Americans, were topless. I thought it was weird at first, but it’s just the culture. It’s not a matter of them feeling superior in any way, it’s just very natural for them–as natural as it is for you to wipe after #2 (I sure hope you do).

Clearly Pam is just as relaxed about the idea of being topless in Europe as the Europeans are.

It’s something that’s done, ok, but most halfway respectable people don’t do it in front of their 9 year old children. Please stop acting like Pam’s somehow “enlightened” or “normal” for what she’s doing. She is a freakshow in the U.S. and nothing changes just because she’s on the other side of the Atlantic. If you want to cut a celebrity some slack for topless sunbathing, you might have a better argument if you were talking about Uma Thurman or Reese…you know someone who isn’t famous for their slutty persona in the first place like Pam is.

I have been to upscale resorts at beaches in Tahiti, St. Barths, St. Martin, Nice, and St. Tropez (all French)and have never NOT seen “halfway respectable” Moms baring their breasts in front of their kids. It has always seemed quite natural to me in those settings. I’m not defending Pam Anderson one way or anoother b/c I know little or nothing about her, and the post doesn’t say where the pictures were taken. I just know from most accounts, she seems like a really good, caring Mom. I don’t see anything wrong with going topless in front of your children. As one of my best friends is French, openly takes her top off in front of her little girl when we hang out by their pool, and is from a really well-to-do family in Paris, I’d love to know which area of France are you from, because I have yet to meet the halfway respectable French women who are not going topless in front of their kids on a beach.

I saw pics of these 3 on other websites….that little kid is a little girl. In the pic I saw it was her, another lady I’m guessing her mother, and Pam. Maybe they’re relatives or family friends.

On the other websites people were commenting because the little girl is also topless…she had on a polkadot bathing suit skirt, no top, and the thing that gave her sex away was her flip flops had flowers on them. I am in the USA and find it very disturbing that Pam is exposing her breasts in front of her child. In US culture, breasts are a symbol of sexuality (unless you are nursing a newborn). With Pam’s case, she is a sex symbol in culture and has unnaturally sized breasts used to enhance her sexual status. Exposing this to a child is inappropriate, even if it is his mother.
