Earlier, we posted a comprehensive photo post of the star-studded, emotional memorial service for late pop star, Michael Jackson. His ornate gold casket was covered with a veritable garden of flowers and a host of Motown heavyweights took to the stage for the service. Smokey Robinson read a series of letters from mourners not in attendance including Nelson Mandela and Diana Ross.
In addition, a speech from Barry Gordon received a thunderous applause. He said, “I think he is simply the greatest entertainer that ever lived.” However, it was a spur-of-the-moment speech delivered by his daughter, Paris Katherine Jackson, that was the most moving.
Taking to the stage, surrounded by the rest of the Jackson clan, Paris told the crowd, “I just want to say ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you can ever imagine. And I just want to say I love him so much.”
