Patrick Dempsey is talking some trash about how he might want to give up playing Dr. McCreamy or whatever on “Grey’s Anatomy” and go live on a farm with the wife and kids. Dude, get real. It was a loooonnggg stretch between “Can’t Buy Me Love” and that flick where you were the pizza boy and you were banging all the middle-aged wives whenever you delivered a pepperoni and your current role as panty-moistener on “Grey’s Anatomy.
He says, “I can be perfectly happy living in the country, having a little farm and working occasionally.”
Seriously, this guy better re-evaluate his position. Don’t get deluded. I’m not sensing a Clooney sitch here. I’m sensing a few more movie roles as the useless boyfriend and then a scramble to try and get back on TV. Besides, the other one (Eric Dane) is WAY hotter.

I’m a fan of Patrick Dempsey and have been since those “Can’t Buy Me Love” and “Loverboy” days. I would even throw in “Run,” his stint on Once and Again, and Outbreak.
I don’t think he is jumping ship but I would bet he is thinking about it. You have got to love those vain celebrities. With Grey’s, his stock went up. But what many actors don’t realize is that they are only as good as their last gig. He’s not ready to pull a George Clooney. Clooney lucked out with some good, smart choices. While he was on ER, he did Three Kings, The Thin Red Line, Out of Sight (banking of Jennifer Lopez), Batman & Robin, and From Dusk til Dawn. Dempsey hasn’t had those great choices yet. He’s got to get the movie momentum first.
