Perez Hilton is getting sued, according to TMZ. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.
A Hollywood photo agency is suing snarky gossip blogger Perez Hilton aka Mario Lavandeira, for copyright infringement. The agency claims Perez used their images on his website “without permission from the agency, thereby violating federal law.”
The tabloid agency is seeking over $7.5 million dollars in damages from Perez for what they say is a loss of profits and injury to their reputation. The photo agency believes their pics have played a large part in the success and profitability of perezhilton.com, which reportedly charges between $9,000 and $16,000 a week for ad space. It costs plenty to appear next to Britney’s crotch!
Perez tells TMZ, “I have yet to be personally served with this lawsuit. My lawyers and I will address the situation when we have the opportunity to review the materials.”
Somewhere, Lance Bass, Neil Patrick Harris, T.R. Knight, Jesse Metcalfe, Matt Dallas, and Jodie Foster are clinking champagne glasses and howling with laughter. Clay Aiken has already passed out after drunk dialing Perez several times, at first pretending he was Paris and feigning sympathy, and then screaming “suck it, nerd!” and hanging up.

He’s a petty, nasty, evil, vile, loathsome, homely, creepy freak. He may get the hits, and be bragging about the money he makes, but I hope he isn’t to attached to it, because he stole unique material and doesn’t have a leg to stand on.

He’s no worse than any other gossip site. And anyway, do you think ALL these sites are using photos they took personally? They all steal photos. The difference is in whether permission or credit is given for their use.
he is 100 times worse than other gossip sites… he shoes favoritism towards anybody that will give him the time of day…. twists stories around in order to shape the story as he wants it – and does nt even credit his sources. come one this is a guy who just draws coke sprinkles on pics and accuases everyone of either being gay or looking like a tranny! i hope he falls hard – karma…
Perez has made fun of Aretha Franklin on his site more than once, and for that there is no forgiveness. I hope he rots in hell.
