Working in tandem to further the Simpson agenda, the agenda being to make the Simpsons look less creepy, Ashlee Simpson‘s husband Pete Wentz decided to extend a warm welcome to Jessica Simpson‘s main squeeze Eric Johnson whilst chatting with People magazine at some New Year’s Eve party in Chicago.

“Jessica’s been a great sister [to me] and the Simpson family has been a great support system for me and Ashlee and [son] Bronx.  They’re my home away from home on the West Coast. It’s really easy and natural to transition into the family.”

“The great thing about being part of the Simpson family is that they’re really welcoming – you feel right at home right away.”

It’s a new year, so forget all that and gawk at pictures of aforementioned ass-clown, Pete Wentz, at the CIROC New Year’s Eve Party at the Hard Rock Hotel in Chicago last Friday.  Some of the faces he makes aren’t safe for children, pets, hostages, lower court judges, people with heart conditions, and your mom.  Consider yourself warned.
