Pete Doherty Gets Job Offer

October 5th, 2006 // 1 Comment

The rehab clinic where Pete Doherty recently finished his time cleaning up, has offered him a position as a drug counselor. FemaleFirst.co.uk has the details:

The ‘Babyshambles’ singer checked out of the rehab clinic last Monday (25.09.06) after being treated for addiction to heroin and crack cocaine. Priory doctors and staff were so impressed with Pete’s recovery they have asked him back to take therapy sessions. A source from the clinic is quoted by Britain’s Daily Star newspaper as saying: “Pete was particularly impressive at his group therapy sessions. “He acknowledged right away he was addicted to drugs and he never had a problem talking about how his addiction affected his daily life. That made him stand out from other patients who often won’t even admit they have a problem.”

This is all well and good, but shouldn’t they be waiting for him to have been out of rehab for MORE THAN A MINUTE before offering him a drug counselor job?

He wasnt offered a job. He was asked to come back for therapy sessions. FemaleFirst needs to redo their heading because it is obviously misleading.
