10 Classic Hollywood Beauties
Rosalind Russell (1907-1976)
Rosalind Russell is my personal favorite from the Golden Age of Hollywood. Rosalind first gained major prominence for her roles in screwball comedies like His Girl Friday and The Women playing fast talking and larger than life characters. She is perhaps best remembered for her role as the title character in Auntie Mame from 1958. Rosalind was nomiated for 4 Oscars during her 38 year career, yet only received an honorary Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award in 1972. Rosalind passed away in 1976 from breast cancer but left behind a legacy as one of the funniest and most beautiful women of her time.
