Joan Crawford was as well known for her off-screen drama as her on-screen talent. The actress enjoyed a varied career during her 47 years on screen playing mostly women who start from nothing but end with a man and a career at the end. In 196, Joan won her first Oscar for her performance in Mildred Pierce. Her personal life was a little less stable. She married 4 times and her chaotic relationship with her children was documented in the biopic, Mommy Dearest. Joan died in 1977 from a heart attack. She will always be remembered for her beauty, grace and talent.
