Cher has been making the singer to actress turn over work ever since the late 1960s. She got her big break as one half of Sonny & Cher, the all singing, all funny partnership between herself and ex-husband Sonny Bono. While Cher had a pretty successful singing career, she clearly wanted more. Cher won an Oscar in 1988 for her role in Moonstruck proving that she could hold her own with the best of them. Today, Cher continues to act and sing, although much less frequently. It's OK though, cause she was still the best part of Burlesque.
