In case you think that Queen Latifah is just a funny and soulful actress, you'd be wrong. The Queen got her start in the rapping world as one of the best selling and most popular female rappers. Think Nicki Minaj is great? Go listen to Latifah! She did some acting while her music career took off, but it was 2002's Chicago that proved she could share the screen with the big boys and still come out on top. Since then, Queen Latifah has been only making movies, although I'm hoping for a bad ass rap album in the near future.
