"On June 3 the River Pageant wowed the world. I have been photographing the royals for nearly four decades and this was right up there with my favourite moments. As I walked to my car from the Thames I stopped two of my photographer mates. On the water were boats from all around the world, gondolas, Maori war canoes, native Canadian boats and the Queen’s gilded barge. 'Just take a couple of minutes to take it all in,' I said. 'It’s once-in-a-lifetime stuff.'"
