Lawrence beat out 30 big name young actresses for the part, including Emma Roberts and Shaleine Woodley. The 21-year-old Oscar nominated actress is already a proven talent (Winter’s Bone), big box-office draw (X-Men: First Class) and pretty nice to look at (girls don’t have to twist their boyfriend’s arm to sit through this one). And isn’t it refreshing to have a convincing actress at the helm of a major motion picture franchise?
