Remember Her Majesty’s 1953 Coronation
Outfits worn by the four-year-old Prince Charles (R) and the two-year-old Princeess Anne on the day of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation are displayed on in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace January 24, 2013 in London, England. This summer marks the 60th anniversary of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. To celebrate this anniversary, a special exhibition at Buckingham Palace will bring together an array of the dress, uniform and robes worn on that occasion. Works of art, paintings and objects used on the day, will also be on display. The Queen acceded to the throne on 6 February 1952 and was crowned the following year, on 2 June 1953.
