We'll start things off with possibly the biggest divorce announcement of 2012: the Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes split. Katie filed for divorce from her husband of 5 years on June 29th of this year. The news was said to have caught Tom off-guard, but it couldn't have been too crazy, as they reached a divorce settlement less than two weeks later. They're going to have quite an interesting future, especially with Suri in the picture.
