Damon Salvatore: Favorite ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Villains
Damon Salvatore, played by Ian Somerhalder has been causing mayhem since his arrival to the show in the pilot. At first he is considered a monster because of his habits. He snapped necks, drained innocent people, and hurt others just because he could. Whenever he got upset, he relieved tension through acts of violence. The most famous violent scenes with him are when he snapped his nephew, Zach's neck, snapped Jeremy Gilbert's neck in season two, and got into a brutal vampire fight with Caroline Forbes in season three. Even though he does have monstrous tendencies people still love him. That sultry smirk and those stunning blue eyes have definitely worked in his favor. It almost seems as if the more bad he does, the more popular he gets.
