7. Scotty McCreery. After winning this years American Idol, Scotty McCreery has been quite the hot commodity. With a country voice that does not at all match his look, Scotty was topping the charts with his first single. He seems to be doing quite well, especially after a string of American Idol winners who seemed to disappear (Taylor Hicks, anyone?). I mean, the boy won the New Artist of the Year award at this year's American Country Awards. I'd say he's doing just fine. Let's all hope that this good fortune continues into the new year and he can take his place next to Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood as the most successful Idol winners.
