8. Rooney Mara. Rooney Mara first popped on the scene back in 2010 with her scene stealing role as Mark Zuckerberg's girlfriend in The Social Network. Clearly director David Fincher liked working with her and cast her in the dark, brooding and brilliant role of Lisbeth Salander in "the feel bad movie of the year", The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Rooney totally transformed herself for the role, cutting off all her hair, dying her eyebrows and completely immersing herself in the role.
