Pippa Middleton‘s rear may have been on global display April 29th, but the folks in Ampthill, Bedfordshire (located in the UK, if you didn’t pick that up already) don’t think it’s proper to place the McQueen-encased behind on a pub sign. The Queen’s Head, a historic pub in Ampthill, took down a sign of Pippa’s behind after locals complained of its indecency.
The pub’s landlord, Richard Hammond, replaced the establishment’s sign of Catherine of Aragon, first wife of Henry VIII, with the Duchess Of Cambridge before the royal wedding, finding that it attracted the masses. “When we put the picture of Kate up we had a constant stream of visitors and people taking photos,” Hammond told the Daily Mail. Then we put up Pippa’s bottom and that went down equally as well. So we are stuck with Catherine of Aragon but she’s a bit dilapidated.”

The company that owns the pub acknowledged that it offended some people, and agreed to take it down. One resident in particular found the picture of Middleton, spotted grabbing lunch with a mystery man today, to be tasteless. “We don’t want disgraceful pictures of ladies posteriors on out pub signs. That sort of behaviour might be acceptable in the fleshpots of Flitwick or Luton but not Ampthill,” said Charlie Gath. Here here!
