The deal between NBC and Victoria Beckham to build a reality show around the former Spice girl and wife of the famous British footballer, David Bekcham, has fallen through since it was first publicly announced some months ago. Victoria has recently made a statement about how she feels that she’s at a time in her life where she believes she needs to devote more time to her husband and children.
“My family will always come before my career.”
A source revealed to The Mirror that Posh was feeling overwhelmed by the pressures of being the star of a reality television series and decided that it would be better if she took a step back at the moment, according to Reality TV World.
“It’s a real sacrifice for her as the TV series was a great launch pad for her career over there,” the source said. “But she felt she was being pushed into a corner and David was obviously always going to take priority.”
Man, I was totally looking forward to this show. As much as I enjoy making fun of the fact that both she and David look like a matchy little couple of delicate twinks, after I saw the couple on the original British version of “Da Ali G Show,” in an interview, where it was made clear that Posh has a sense of humor about herself, I decided that I really did like her. Alas, the celebs can’t hide from reality for long! I have a feeling it’s just a matter of time before she does get a show on the air.
