Today, HRH Prince Felix of Luxembourg married German-born Claire Lademacher, whom he met while studying at Collège Alpin International Beau Soleil in Switzerland.
After a civil ceremony earlier this week in Germany, the couple took part in a religious ceremony in the South East part of France, in front of 350 guests.
Her Royal Highness wore a long-sleeved lace gown by Elie Saab, the same designer chosen by Princess Stephanie for her October 2012 wedding in Luxembourg. Atop Claire’s head sat the Grand Ducal diamond floral tiara, on loan from HRH Grand Duchess Maria Teresa.
According to royal watcher @AnnieElizabethN, Claire wore the same earrings as Princess Stephanie and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg. It’s said that the Cuban-born Grand Duchess received those earrings from her parents at her own wedding.
Pierre Casiraghi represented his family at the nuptials, accompany by girlfriend Beatrice Borromeo, who looked fabulous in a pantsuit and simple fascinator.
Felix, 29, and Claire, 28, will honeymoon in an undisclosed location.
“It is tradition in our family that the destination of the honeymoon is a surprise for the bride, that is only revealed at the last minute before departure,” Felix told a local newspaper, according to HELLO!
