Public Viewing At Neverland Ranch Scheduled For Michael Jackson Fans

June 30th, 2009 // 2 Comments

Fans of the late King of Pop will get the opportunity to bid farewell to the musical icon at a public viewing to be held on Friday. The event is scheduled to take place at Michael Jackson‘s Neverland Ranch, after the singer’s remains are transported on Thursday via a 30-car motorcade.

However, it’s still unclear where the superstar will be buried. Jackson’s hometown of Gary, Indiana is hoping that his family will choose to bring their son to rest in the city where he grew up. Mayor Rudy Clay has already reached out to the clan, but is still awaiting their decision.

Clay told CNN, that a memorial service is set to take place July 10 at the Steel Works ballpark in town and will be “a memorial that’s fit for the prince of peace and a memorial that’s fit for Gary, Indiana’s favorite son, the greatest entertainer that ever lived.”

“a memorial fit for the prince of peace”?? i’m sorry, the “prince of peace” as it were is Jesus. what is wrong with that mayor?

what is wrong with this country?

i won’t deny that michael’s music was a movement. it’s great. i have his “number ones” album playing on iTunes now.

but for him to be celebrated as this hero, this god-among-men … it’s not right. he did some bad things. that shouldn’t be swept under the rug just because he died.

This is getting absolutely INSANE! Why not make his a saint already for crying out loud, enough is enough!!

The coverage since his death has been 24×7 and way too “over the top” and has forgotten two other fallen Hollywood icons.

When all is said and done we may just find out his death was caused but illegal use of controlled drugs so we should now enshrine him. Come on people get a grip!

I thought when Elvis died is was covered with much better taste and the level was appropriate.
