While the gorgeous movie stars on the red carpet for Inglourious BasterdsBrad Pitt and Diane Kruger–are hard to miss during the film’s promotional tour, it’s the director, Quentin Tarantino, who’s the real star of the movie.

The 46-year-old director talked a mile-a-minute during an interview with The Herald about his career and the hopes he has for his film, Inglourious Basterds.

Tarantino explains, “Literally it was one of those situations where as I was writing the script I was thinking, ‘Brad could be good in this’. I wrote a little bit more, ‘Hey, Brad could be [expletive] awesome in this!”

However, he knew casting the A-lister would be a tall order. “Not only was I trying to get the most sought after movie star in the world, I was saying, ‘I’ve gotta go now!’”

Lucky for him, however, Brad was ready to roll. Once he cut out all the shower time, he had plenty to spare.
