Rachel Bilson may be tiny, but she’s all growed up and posing in a bikini for GQ magazine. I’ve always thought that she seemed like the more level-headed female counterpart to Mischa Barton’s aloof, Ked-endorsing off-screen persona. And when Rachel and Adam Brody broke up, I have to say that I breathed a sigh of relief because I felt like they looked way too much like brother and sister–with their dark hair, slight frames and button noses–to be dating each other.
And in these pics, she looks super-cute, in her retro-looking red, white and blue bikini and heels. I feel like she’s almost channeling a more girl-next-door pocket-sized Angelina in these pictures. I mean, if you’re into that sort of thing…

She’s more like a mini Cindy Crawford, actually. And I think the best picture out here is the one where her entire body is NOT being exploited (the second one — the one after the main picture). Yeah, she has her finger in her mouth, but it’s a beautiful shot.

I like Rachel Bilson a lot, but she’s not actually working very much. How did she rate a major cover like GQ, where cover stories are usually either pegged to an upcoming movie or of a certifiably huge star?

I’m a little disappointed. She’s such a talented and beautiful girl. I never thought she’d take this route. It’s always disappointing to me when young women use their sexuality. It’s 2008 for crying out loud. But then again, we are talking about Hollywood.

I actually like these pictures a lot!
She looks beautiful, and plays the part of a vintage pin up girl very well. I don’t see why everyone’s got their panties in a bunch. If I could pull off a photoshoot the way she just did, I’d be one happy lady. People need to lighten up, and stop being such prudes.

I think these pics are ‘awkward sexy’ (as in, it doesn’t suit her). They also look photoshopped in the worst kind of way. Her legs are all different shapes (in very similar poses).

There is something so awful and awkward about these shots, cute little Summer shouldn’t be whoring herself out like some oversexed Hilton tramp. It’s not being prudish, it’s just unnecessary – you can keep your clothes on and still be sexy.

I find it odd that so many of you are attacking her for these pictures, yet at the same time delivering very harsh judgments on every aspect of her body. If anything is disgusting, it’s this attitude that we can freely rip apart women based on how they look.

It’s absolutely unfair that you are all criticizing her for her body. Everyone is beautiful in their own way – and Rachel Bilson is particularly physically stunning. Why the hate?
Personally, I’d be upset if people were judging me so harshly. Be kind, and be fair. If you wouldn’t pose for such a photo shoot, that’s your opinion. She’s entitled to hers.
And for the record – it’s a pretty nice photo shoot.
