Reese Witherspoon wants to try and shake her Type-A persona somewhat and in a recent interview with Elle magazine insisted that she’s a heck of a lot more fun-loving and carefree than most people would think.
“I wouldn’t be able to do what I do if I were [always in control]. I wouldn’t be able to have the empathy or the capacity to understand different lives.”
“I’m fun. I can be really fun. I can tell we’d have a lot of fun if the [interviewer's] tape was off…”
I’m sure Reese is fun in her own “hey-teacher-you-forgot-to-give-us-homework” sort of way, but it reminds me too much of when someone tells me how “funny” they are. I generally respond by telling them, “Yeah, I’ll be the judge of that because I too consider myself to be funny. You can tell because I’m wearing a shirt that says, ‘Funny Bitch.’ Get it? It validates me in a way that laughter never could.”

This woman rocks! Have any of you seen her in Election or Freeway??? If not, purchase immediately. I very first saw her in the movie, Freeway I, and could not believe my eyes. I knew then that she would be a HUGE success.
She looks about as ‘fun’ as a lobotomy in these photos though.

Freeway was the first thing I saw her in, too, and she blew me away. I think Election was the next thing I saw her in, and the difference in characters, both played SO well by her, made it evident that she was going to be big.

I LOVE Reese! She may be “boring” in the sense that she’s not out flashing her cooter and making a drugged-out disgrace of herself, but she’s a gorgeous and talented lady. I support her TOTALLY (despite some of whack movies- but TBone’s right…Freeway is one of the best movies EVER.)
