Reese Witherspoon and Kiefer Sutherland hit the red carpet in London to promote their animated film Monsters and Aliens. It was another stop for the actors on their European promotional tour for the film.

Hugh Laurie, Paul Rudd, Renee Zellweger and Seth Rogen also provided voices for the various characters.

For Witherspoon, working on the 3-D DreamWorks animation had a clear bonus. She admitted: “It’s nice to wake up and not have to go to two hours of hair and make-up.”

Sutherland, on the other hand, promised that he and his fellow stars were not simply in it to make a quick buck.

“If it was easy money then we would have to get paid. Notoriously you don’t get paid doing this,” he said. “It’s the opportunity. When you see the unbelievable advancements that animation is making from a technological perspective – that makes it exciting.”
