Every psychologist knows that in most girls diagnosed of anorexia the real problem is a big clash with their mothers, which can be unconscious. So, these girls hurt themselves in orther to symbolically hurt their mothers.
It´s well known by the speciallists, so Kate´s words were not so unwise.

Avril is NO punk rocker. Thick eyeliner + a pair a Chucks + a studded belt does NOT equal punk! She’s a wannabe punk, or she’s desperately misguided as to the real meaning of “punk.” BUT, kudos to her for writing her own crap, er, I mean songs.
All jokes about the quality of her music aside, I have more respect for her than for the other singers out there that are just vehicles for other people’s songs – singers just sing, musicians/artists sing AND create/write music. Avril is in the musician/artist category. I may not *like* her music (in all honesty, I personally HATE it), but that doesn’t take away from the fact that she’s got some talent for writing & singing songs that sell a ton of records.
