What a bunch of envious gossips! First off, both Kenny and Renee have similar southern roots and rose to fame from obscurity… so that gives them some understanding of each other. Kenny named Renee as his favorite actress long before he met her. Maybe it is just a temporary fascination they hold, since they don’t know each other well yet… but my hubby and I got married quickly, too… TEN years ago and going strong. Give them a break. I admire them both. Life is about learning and growing up.

Renee is a bigtime gay activist. Both her and Chesney met at some fund raiser and married in less than three months.
My hunch is that Kenny boy tracked her down and married her for smoke screen effect. Like George Michael these fairy tale boys get the tail but later come out of the closet once their careers go down hill. MJ obviously can’t come out of the closet because it will land him in jail. Country Music fans are famously traditional, republican and very christian (not all, but the great majority), and he would totally “fall from grace” as far as Country audiences.

The only other big country star that was rumored to be gay was Randy Travis, and as soon as the rumors came out (no pun intended) he married his much older manager, and effectively squashed them rumors, or so he thought.

i’m a flaming heterosexual and i knew he was gay the second on saw him on some hokey country music awards show! in fact, i couldn’t believe the CMA was accepting such an openly gay artist. then i find out that “nobody knows”, or is turning a blind eye.

personally, it is BS that you can’t be a country star and be gay. but it is just as bad that he is living a lie, especially when he deceives his own “mate”.

Alot of gay men have girlfriends, get engaged and even married. I had a college professor with four daughters and after 26 years of mariage, he finally left after having cheated on her for years with other men. My boyfriend now has been with lots of women and my ex had been engaged for two years! Having sex with a woman does not mean you’re not gay, in fact I’d imagine there are alot more gay men that have had sex with women than those who haven’t.

I was once married to a guy several years ago. My ex-husband’s uncle worked at Kenny Chesney’s record label and was dating him for SEVERAL months. My ex-husband’s uncle was openly gay. He told the family he was dating him, but that it was hushed because of Kenny’s career. This took place around 1997-1998.

I have no reason as an upstanding wife, mother, and adult to lie about this. I had told my current husband this about Kenny CHesney and my ex’s uncle years ago. It was the first thing we talked about when these two got married, and I honestly do feel that Renee Zellweger was mislead.

When asked by Extra TV to comment on Kenny’s wedding, I was angry to hear Tim McGraw who was with wife Faith say “Kenny got married? I thought he was gay?” I thought that was a nasty rumor he was starting. You know how competition is but maybe it was not a rumor.
Whether true or not I am still disappointed in
Tim for saying that on television a day after the wedding.

Fraud in a civil annulment case means either that one of them wasn’t free to marry in the first place (unlikely), or that one of them (since she’s filing, that means Kenny) misrepresented something so serious that the marriage was never valid in the first place – this means something of a very personal nature – you can’t get anulled because the guy didn’t disclose his back tax forms, for example.

Whatever happened must be pretty shocking for a high-profile personality like Renee Zellweger to seek an annulment. She must know that was bound to get serious publicity and that speculation and scrutiny would ensue. Whatever happened has her seriously angry and hurt.

I’m actually pretty shocked she didn’t know. When they married, I thought maybe she was gay, too, or that they were just very, very good friends and she was doing him a favor. But maybe she really didn’t know. Which is weird, because it’s so obvious, and because people have been saying it for years.

As for him having other girls, well, that’s all been part of his bio and legend, but all that “happened” before he was really famous. I think the story about him having been engaged and dumped and having been so broken-hearted he couldn’t see anyone was his cover for a while, but it must have been wearing thin, so he opted for a smoke-screen marriage.

It’s actually pretty damned sad that people feel they have to live their lives this way.
