It was hard to miss Rihanna at this year’s Grammy party. If you remember, last year she missed the Grammys due to Chris Brown beating her up, so if she wanted to make a statement of “look at me, I’m back,” she succeeded.

The dress looked a little impractical for the rest of the evening, and Rihanna looked swamped by the huge shoulder ruffle as she chatted to fellow celebrities and sat down to dinner with Katy Perry and Russell Brand.

Rihanna, 21, was at the Pre-Grammy’s Gala last night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, which was hosted by The Recording Academy and music supremo Clive Davis. My only question is, where was her boyfriend Justin Bieber?

Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Fergie and Carrie Underwood all went for sparkly numbers, while Ke$ha looked as if she had been dragged around by her hair for a few hours before hitting the red carpet. I would have loved Jennifer Hudson‘s dress if it didn’t have the poofy shoulders. Leather should never be poofy.
