For the first time ever, Rihanna is preparing to speak out about her turbulent relationship with Chris Brown in an interview for ABC’s Good Morning America. The piece will also air on 20/20 on Friday.

The 21-year-old is sitting down with Diane Sawyer and in a press release from the network, Rihanna “tells her story” and will be “revealing publicly for the first time what happened last February,” in reference to her ex-boyfriend’s assault on her.

And, of course, this interview will be the first to launch the singer’s promotion of her fourth album, Rated R, set to drop later this month. While this may be a shameless ploy to gain attention for her album, I will definitely be tuning in.
