Rihanna has been working her butt off to promote Rated R, but not everyone has loved the darker and gritter tone of this album as much as her previous music. Her next attempt is going to be something more fun and energetic she says.
“Rated R, I love the sound of it. In terms of the base, I really like the bottom, the grime of it,” She told MTV Korea back in February. “If I were to combine that with more energetic up tempo pop records then I think that will be a happy marriage, and I think that will be where we will probably go next.”
That new marriage could be here as soon as this summer according to rumors, and producer Sean Garett has a track on the album that confirms the energetic sound. ” It’s about getting past any drama and just being happy to be alive,” he told MTV. I hope this comes out this summer. Rihanna songs just feel like summer. Note: Don’t forget to pay the producer.
In the meantime Rihanna’s still promoting Rated R. Here she is yesterday in Berlin, signing autographs at MediaMarkt home electronics store.
