We’re not 100% sure we buy this, but The Sun is claiming that gaudy, jewel-encrusted eye patch Rihanna wore in November was actually a cover-up from another Chris Brown beat down.
Friends say she decided to make the futuristic biker outfit a little more pirate because of a “scratched cornea.” Which, of course, has everyone wondering if a certain Chris Brown was the one doing the scratching, or if the eye patch was covering something more visibly severe.
According to the LAPD and Rihanna’s friends, she would often show up
with scratch marks and bruises and not offer any explanation (Unidentifed Drinking Injury always works for us).
“We’re investigating if her eye injury could have been
caused by Brown. There could be an innocent explanation — but police believe Rihanna has
previously refused to make a complaint against Brown. She is now being asked
about her past injuries and is beginning to open up about incidents in their
relationship,” says a source at the LAPD.
Something tells us the cops were just flipping through pictures of Rihanna, caught sight of that ghastly eye patch, and hoped there was some logical explanation behind it. Not likely. Rihanna was just probably trying to be avant-garde. But nice try.
