The sixty-nine year-old famed saxophonist, Clarence Clemons, also know as the “Big Man” of Bruce Springsteen‘s E Street Band, passed away on Saturday due to complications suffered from a stroke he had earlier this month.
Springsteen, shown above, is pictured walking on the beach shortly after he visited Clemons in recovery from brain surgery caused by the massive stroke. A few days later, Clemons passed away and Springsteen sought out his website to reflect on the loss of his dear friend and band-mate.
“His loss is immeasurable and we are honored and thankful to have known him and had the opportunity to stand beside him for nearly forty years. He was my great friend, my partner, and with Clarence at my side, my band and I were able to tell a story far deeper than those simply contained in our music.
Clemens will surely be remembered for his unforgettable presence in Springsteen’s signature sound. In is accomplished career, the legendary saxophone player had also teamed up with Aretha Franklin, Twisted Sister, The Grateful Dead, and Jackson Browne. Recently, he provided a sultry saxophone solo in Lady Gaga’s new song “The Edge of Glory”.

The “Big Man” will certainly be missed and always remembered. RIP, Clarence.

Seems kind of odd and disrespectful that you’re posting shirtless photos of Springsteen in a RIP post for another man.
