Some people will do anything for $24 million. Camilla Belle‘s new friend Robert Pattinson, brooding star of teengirl freakout vamp flick Twilight, says that he went through a two month grueling workout regimen to play angsty Edward Cullen.

“I was so much more muscular than I have ever been in my life, but I looked weird,” Pattinson says.

He did three hours of kickboxing every day, and two hours of running. That’s dedication. But director Catherine Hardwicke agreed that he was too stringy and made him gain back 30 lbs.

Here’s Pattinson at the UK premiere of Twilight last night in London’s Leicester Square. He walked a black carpet complete with dry ice. Corny-ass.
